Not your usual love song...
I started writing this song in 2001, when I first came to Spain. I later developed the song, adding the modulation and the chorus, and re-writing it in 6/8 time, from 4/4, with a flamenco bulería rhythm. The result feels good and I hope it makes you smile. lyrics
NEW SINGLE! A feel-good, fun, upbeat song that sounds like the summer. Play it in the car and have one more lucky day.

Although it could be described as a romantic ballad, ‘turn the lights back down’ is also a way of saying, let’s cut down on all the noise and distraction, and focus on the love that connects us all.

"Breathing In Indigo" her latest single, begins with a lightning-flash of flamenco guitar from the dextrous Luis Robisco. From there, the group locks into a groove equally indebted to jazz, rock, and the flamenco bulería. Nancy Ruth illuminates the track (which, like most of her material, is her own composition) with a vocal performance that radiates passion: for life, for love, and for the infinite possibilities of modern music.
With her flame-blonde curly hair, her explosive energy, and her effortlessly expressive face, Nancy Ruth has a powerful stage presence. The "Breathing In Indigo" video captures the seductive quality of her sound - the elegance of jazz, the sultriness of flamenco, and the immediate appeal of modern pop rock, all in a single package.
