DISCOGRAPHY

Breathing In Indigo

Nancy Ruth

"Breathing In Indigo" her latest single, begins with a lightning-flash of flamenco guitar from the dextrous Luis Robisco. From there, the group locks into a groove equally indebted to jazz, rock, and the flamenco bulería. Nancy Ruth illuminates the track (which, like most of her material, is her own composition) with a vocal performance that radiates passion: for life, for love, and for the infinite possibilities of modern music.

With her flame-blonde curly hair, her explosive energy, and her effortlessly expressive face, Nancy Ruth has a powerful stage presence. The "Breathing In Indigo" video captures the seductive quality of her sound - the elegance of jazz, the sultriness of flamenco, and the immediate appeal of modern pop rock, all in a single package.

Where the Sea Melts To Sky

Nancy Ruth

Do I ever feel lucky I had the chance to do this project before the world went crazy. It's the first song I've written that's been orchestrated, and I had the luxury of recording it in New York with members of the New York Philharmonic. Joe Gianono wrote the arrangement and conducted. Multi-grammy award winning Oscar Zambrano recorded, mixed and mastered the track.

Todo Para Ti (All For You)

Nancy Ruth

With complex and thoughtful arrangements commonplace during Todo Para Ti (All For You), Ruth is able to ensure that listeners will have to play it multiple times before hearing each and every dynamic that is built up here. Extended instrumental sections further increase the replay value of Todo Para Ti; while the song may conclude a bit after the four-minute mark, it is absolutely epic...

Sangria Jam

Nancy Ruth

All the songs on Sangria Jam were written in Málaga, Spain, and are reflections of my life here. The title, Sangria Jam alludes to the way many influences of blood and sound have come together on this disc.

Para Ti

Nancy Ruth

Para Ti is the latest release from this passionate vocalist/ songwriter. Her musical influences are woven
with the mystique of the Moors, the caress of a Mediterranean breeze and the bustle of the plazas and
small cafes of Latin America. You can hear the solitude of the Sahara Desert and the flamenco seeping
out from patios in the labyrinth of Andalusian streets.
A musical gypsy with roots in both Spain and Canada, Nancy has spent her life singing her way around the
world. She's performed with composer Toño Robira in Panama, shared the stage with pianist Bob Albanese in
New York, and spent a month as featured vocalist in the Palace of the Sultan of Brunei. She performed and
recorded with WEA recording artists The Lovehunters in Singapore, and toured extensively in Europe where
she recorded the Spanish album "Me Quedo" for the Dutch Home of Jazz label. Her adventures have found
her collaborating with Berber and Arabic musicians in Morocco, and enjoying mucha juerga with Gitanos in
Andalusia.
Currently living in Málaga, she is actively touring in Europe with her Spanish-based band.

A collection of well-loved and original jazz boleros, recorded in Spanish with a stellar band. “ This is music with depth, passion, subtlety, and a distinct European sensibility.”
